                            ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

FLIGHTS -

 The company does not book flights, but can advise you on
procedure, booking and finding flights.   Departures from most principal
UK airports, usually on Mondays. Please take medical advice and check
airline-insurance etc., regulations related to pregnancy, children under 2
years and your personal health.

ARRIVALS & DEPARTURES AT YOUR VILLA -

Usually geared to Mondays which ties
in with the majority of flights into Corfu Airport.  Flights do come in on
other days and we do our utmost to adjust to days and times BUT it must be
understood that if clients overlap due to their schedules, then another
villa may have to be used until the Monday of the next week.

Your room should be vacated by 12 noon prior to departure.  (unless
specifically agreed otherwise with the owner  via your host/ess).  The
villa has to be prepared for incoming clients. Please be packed, provision
is made for your luggage.

TRANSFERS - AIRPORT TO OUR RESORT & RETURN (1 hr approx) -

 There are various choices available:  1. Taxi available at the airport.  2. You can
book your own taxi by ringing Greece.  The local Agios Stefanos taxi is
"Tasos Taxis" Avilotes.  From the UK, telephone 0030-26630-351284.  In
Corfu, telephone 26630-51284.  3. On request we can arrange a Taxi, but it
must be understood that your contract is with the taxi firm, and not with
"While Away" Holidays Ltd., and sign to that effect on the booking form.
4. No company employee, representative or agent is authorised to provide
any form of transfer; other than to request a taxi or mini bus.  Any
transfer is not the liability of "While Away Holidays Ltd".  We recommend
the third course of action for you comfort and security because a)
telephone lines to Corfu can be difficult and language problems may occur.
 b) It is a nice feeling knowing that you are going to be met at the
airport - day or night - by a friendly Agios Stefanos taxi driver who will
be identified by the Arrivals Exit holding up your name on a board.  He
knows the route like the back of his hand, and where your villa is.
Payment for choice 3 is made to your hostess on day one in cash only.

ON RETURN TO THE AIRPORT –

 Courtesy of ‘San Stefano’ Travel Office, your
host/ess will kindly check your travel itinerary (Airline tickets required
for this service).  This must be done 3 days in advance of your departure.
 Also at this stage you should book and pay (cash only) for your return
taxi.    Tasos collects his return fares in advance because several times
people have reached the airport only to find that they had no money to pay
him!  So he is now wiser - but all monies will be refunded if you do not
take the taxi due to unforeseen circumstances.

Re-night flights-further accommodation – maybe available- (price etc from
your hostess)

BOOKING ARRANGEMENTS -

Please telephone to ensure that a villa is
available and to make the reservation.  Complete and sign the booking form
with deposits within 3 days.  NOTE Persons-17 years- booking forms must be signed by a legal guardian or parent- accepting full responsibility for
behaviour and adherence to all brochure terms and conditions on the
persons behalf.  An invoice showing full details of the total holiday cost
will be sent as confirmation.  It will also show the day by which the
final balance must be paid.  NO REMINDER WILL BE SENT.

INSURANCE -

We insist that you are adequately insured at the time of booking and
we reserve the right to refuse your booking.  Please name your
insurance company, policy and emergency numbers by final payment date.

PASSPORTS -

It is your responsibility to have 10 year passports valid for
at least 6 months before expiry date.  Please check new regulations on
family, children and solo travel.  Any changes of name between booking
your holiday and the departure date - it is important to make sure that
the name and initials on your air ticket and passport is the same,
otherwise passengers may not be allowed to travel, and any insurance
rendered ineffective.  All passport and visa information should be checked
with appropriate authorities on a regular basis.

BAGGAGE -

The allowance is 20kg per passenger-hand luggage is 5kg, but do
check your ticket re different flight company regulations.



SAFETY STANDARDS & REGULATIONS are not always equivalent to UK.

HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES & EXCURSIONS are not booked or provided by the company.  No appointed agent is authorised to act on behalf of the company in this
regard.  Any such arrangements are not the liability of the company.

SITE DESCRIPTIONS -

 We have made every effort to ensure that the
descriptions on this site are accurate.  We have also tried to select
photographs which we feel show accommodation to its best advantage.
However, we have to prepare our site many months in advance, and should
point out that facilities available in the resort and accommodation may
differ slightly from one year to the next, or many be temporarily
unavailable at the time you take your holiday e.g. a bar or restaurant
closed for redecoration.  Also in April, May and October shops  tavernas
do not always open if there is insufficient custom or they may cut down on
menus.

Details given on this site are correct at the time of loading and are
subject to alterations without notification.
